We live in an energetic world. The earth, and everything who lives on it are made up of energy. The energy that makes up our body, is the same energy that makes up everything around us – the bricks of your house, the plants in your garden, the refrigerator and dishwasher, your pet dog and cat.
Just like the electrical equipment in and outside our home, we need to be grounded. Scientists have found that bodily contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge stabilizes our physiology at the deepest levels. It reduces inflammation, pain, and stress, improves blood flow, energy, and sleep, and generates greater well-being.

Reiki and Grounding
Many people who come to me for a Reiki treatment are not grounded. They don’t feel grounded and because I feel their energy when doing Reiki, they don’t feel grounded.
Reiki is a great way to get grounded. Another very important way to get grounded and stay grounded or get grounded time and time again, is connecting with the earth.

Today is Mother Earth Day, a time to celebrate and honour mother earth which is essential to life. When we are connected to it, the earth can keep us grounded with increased strength, balance and resilience.
